Bomarsund put Bes foot forward for second win

BOMARSUND made it back-to-back victories, winning by six wickets at Ulgham.
Liam Besford (3-25 and David Seccombe (3-38) were among the wickets as the hosts finished on 182-7 - Darrell Campbell left on 49 not out.
After 20 overs, Bomarsund in reply had raced to 125-0.
Stephen Thain smashed 12 fours and two sixes, scoring a quickfire 68, with opening partner Colin Thornton falling on 66.
Bomarsund lost two more wickets but reached 183-4 after 27 overs Paul Howey finishing with 3-18. Whitley Bay also made it two from two, easing to a seven-wicket victory to inflict a second defeat on their visitors Kirkley.
Kirkley were thankful to tailender Jai Singh, his 35 not out pushing the total up to 122-9.
Bay needed 31 overs to reach 123-3, both Craig Sample and John Douglas ending up on 27 not out.
Monkseaton secured their first success of the season with a threewicket victory at Hebburn.
Opener Aidan Berry posted 49 but Hebburn were soon all back in the pavilion for just 128.
A nervy reply saw the visitors total 129-7 - 28 wides the highest score.
Clara Vale secured a comfortable 145-run success over Civil Service.
Shahzad Alvi (92) and Usman Saeed (64) helped the hosts to amass an impressive 316-8.
Naveed Iqbal then took 7-49 as Civil Service fell well short of their target on 171-9.
Warenford were bowled out for 150 against Backworth second XI, who replied confidently with 151-2.
