LEAGUE leaders Benwell Hill travel to Whitburn tomorrow.

The home side makes two changes from last weekend, Andy Turns coming in for Paul Shields and Mark Elliott back from injury to replace Luke Smith.

The Hill have skipper Pete Halliday unavailable but youngster Luke Mussett hopes to be in contention after injury.

Halliday said: “The team is entering games with confidence after a solid start to the season in winning our first three games.

“We expect to give a good account of themselves in every fixture and our professional has also arrived, which has provided a further boost to our morale.”

South Northumberland will also be confident after winning their first three games of the season.

They travel to city neighbours Newcastle tomorrow and are unchanged from last weekend’s seven-wicket win over Whitburn.

Skipper Adam Cragg said: “Everybody is doing their job and I could not wish or ask for more at present.

“This is probably our hardest test faced so far but the team travels with confidence.”

Felling are at home to champions Chester-le-Street and are still trying to establish themselves since promotion. Cestrians’ skipper John Coxon said: “All the players are available and the team should be unchanged, having won for the first time last weekend.

“Our prospects are better and there is a more positive feel about the club.”

Unbeaten Hetton Lyons are in third position and travel to Hetton neighbours Eppleton, who have also enjoyed a good start.

Skipper Paul Walker said: “The start of the season has been a good one with all sections of the team producing good form and we are all are looking forward to the battle tomorrow.”

Durham Academy, sitting in mid-table, go to Dean Road to face South Shields, who are bottom of the league.
