Ushaw rout opponents for just 65 runs

DCB JUNIOR LEAGUE UNDER 18 South West League: Josh Clifford hit 42 for Ushaw Moor in their total of 125-5 against Bishop Auckland, and the home side were well short, making only 65 all out, with Ben Storey taking a brilliant 5-11.

Brandon racked up 180-1 off their 20 overs against Willington and still got beat! Adam Khan (92) and Dean Storey jnr (79no), were the run makers and, when Willington batted, Jake Louth hit a fantastic 135 not out, including 13 fours and eight sixes, to win the game with seven balls to spare.

Mainsforth entertaine­d Evenwood and scored 68-9 off their 20 overs, and Mainsforth knocked them off for one wicket in 12.3 overs, with Adam Thirlaway not out on 24.

South East: Easington made 83-9 against Seaham Harbour, with Callum Hutchinson taking an excellent 3-9 and, in reply, Seaham Harbour could only manage 55 all out, thanks to Ben Robinson taking 3-9 for his team as well.

John Lowery Trophy Group 2: Peterlee scored 148-0 in their home match with Castle Eden, with openers Ellis Dunn (76no) and Ben Brown (64no), batting brilliantl­y. In reply, Castle Eden scored 123-6, with skipper Benjamin Simpson scoring 51 not out, with John Lonsdale returning 3-18.

George Peacock Memorial Cup Group B: Whitburn hosted Wearmouth and the visitors were asked to bat first. They scored 110-1 off their 15 overs, with James Colley scoring 52 and James McGonnell made 46 not out.

When the home side batted, they made 112-7, with skipper Ben Markham scoring 48 to ensure his team won the match with eight balls to spare.

Fred Blunt Trophy Group 2: Philadelph­ia, who made 59-8, lost by 10 wickets at home to Chester-leStreet, who did not lose a wicket in their run chase, scoring 60-0; Sacriston v Burnmoor: Burnmoor conceded.

UNDER 15 Don Lyons Memorial Trophy: Felling v Whitburn – Match abandoned due to rain.

Ken Ferguson Memorial Trophy: Sacriston v Sunderland – Match abandoned due to rain; Eppleton v Burnmoor – Burnmoor conceded.
