A NEW exhibition at London’s Tower Bridge will celebrate the unsung heroes who worked there.

A Walk of Fame will open on May 23 and it tells the stories of 40 individuals – selected to illustrate the diversity of roles at the bridge – via a series of decorative plaques placed in the Victorian engine rooms.

CRUISE SHIP HEADING FOR EUROPE

ADONIA, the baby of P&O Cruises’ fleet, returns to the UK next month after a year of operating pioneering cruises to Cuba and the Dominican Republic as part of Fathom’s “impact tourism” venture for Carnival Corporation.

The 670-passenger vessel has completed her last cruise from Miami to Cuba and has headed to dry-dock for a makeover.

Among the enhancements will be the addition of a Glass House restaurant and wine bar curated by TV’s Olly Smith.

Adonia’s summer season in Europe takes in cruises to many ports that are inaccessible to her bigger sisters. By November she will be back in the Caribbean for a six-month season of 14-night fly-cruises from Barbados.

See pocruises.com, fathom.org and carnivalcorp.com for more information.
