THIS is a dark psychological drama created by writer Jess Brittain, which follows childhood soulmates Holly and Georgia who are only a few weeks into their lives at university in Edinburgh.
When Georgia gets drawn into the elite clique of alpha-girls, led by lecturer Jude McDermid, Holly is left out in the cold.
But her jealousy soon escalates to panic as her friend begins acting erratically.
Holly is compelled to follow Georgia into Jude’s closely guarded circle, and discovers a seductive world of lavish parties, populated by Edinburgh’s highest-powered business men and women.
RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 2017 Tomorrow, BBC1, 5pm
SOPHIE RAWORTH and Joe Swift present a sneak preview of the Royal Horticultural Society’s prestigious annual event 24 hours ahead of the showground officially opening to the public.
They showcase some of the most spectacular gardens and exhibits that will be featured in this year’s show and go behind the scenes with the RHS staff as the event is prepared.
PRINCE PHILIP: 70 YEARS OF SERVICE Monday, ITV, 9pm
IT WAS recently announced that Prince Philip is to step down from public duties – and given that he’s 95, it would be hard to grudge him his retirement.
In this documentary, Alan Titchmarsh looks back at the Duke of Edinburgh’s 70 years in the spotlight, which saw him go from a naval officer to the longest-serving royal consort in British history.
Titchmarsh also hears from some of those closest to Prince Philip and gets a chance to see the Duke ‘off duty’ at the recent Royal Windsor Horse Show.
SECRETS OF OUR FAVOURITE SNACKS Tuesday, Channel 4, 8pm
FOR many, it’s hard to imagine life without a packet of crisps, or watching a movie without a bucket of popcorn. But why do so many of us crave these much-loved snacks?
Simon Rimmer and Sophie Morgan explore how crisps and popcorn are made, how crisps are marketed and the science and psychology of why many can’t resist them.
The UK’s favourite flavour of crisp is also announced. Will it be cheese and onion or something a little more exotic?
