LINTZ welcome Consett in Division A1 tomorrow with the visitors hoping it is third time lucky against the weather.

Chairman Alan Waters said: “We were rained off two weeks ago and barely halfway through our game last Saturday when that was called off due to a thunderstorm.

We need to get back to winning ways tomorrow.

“We had good wins at the beginning of the season but those two postponements have not helped our cause.

“There are three changes tomorrow, Stephen Turnbull coming in for John Chapman while Sam Shaik will take over wicket-keeping duties in place of Chapman.

“Sameer Haque returns from injury and will replace John Stokoe.

Lanchester travel to Ponteland without Mark Small.

Fixture secretary Bob Gardiner said: “We have lost our way a little bit in the last two weeks and hope to get back to winning ways this weekend.

“We do not take anything for granted but, with Ponteland being bottom of the table, we feel we have a chance.

“We will be going into the game with confidence.”

Leadgate are at Ryton and skipper Dave Walker said: “They have not been doing too well but neither have we, so we will be looking for a decent result.

“If we get our top-four batting line-up in place we should have a good chance.

“Toby Belton is back in and Dominic McCabe is making his return but Ryan Stokoe and Glen Fletcher are out.”

Ryton skipper David Howorth said: “Leadgate is a must-win game for us.

“We will be looking to win the next three games in a row, which will put us in a good position for the second half of the season.

“Paddy Fordham and Bob Pentland are out but Chris McClymont and Adam Purcell are back in.”
