LAST DAYS OF VICTIM CAUGHT ON CAMERA

-

DRAGGED and bullied in public by his tormentors, this is murder victim Jimmy Prout in his final days. The vulnerable dad-of-two was subjected to a relentless campaign of violence and torture which claimed his life in February 2016. And CCTV cameras dotted around St Stephen’s Way in Percy Main, North Shields, captured those involved in his death shoving helpless Jimmy between the houses where he met his grim end. Former girlfriend Anne Corbett can be seen pushing reluctant Jimmy in the back as he is shuttled between the two houses of horror on the afternoon of February 5. Nearly half an hour later, the 45-year-old murder victim submissively follows her back along the same path. At 10.27am the following day, Kay Rayworth grabs Jimmy’s forearm and drags him towards 35 St Stephen’s Way, with callous Corbett in tow. The months of abuse and systemic fear then seem to overcome the victim, as CCTV appears to capture his collapse as he is shuttled once again by the murderous cult. Evidence heard at Newcastle Crown Court indicates Jimmy’s body finally gave out on February 9, and on that day CCTV captured chilling footage of Rayworth and Zahid Zahman moving an empty wheelchair between the houses. Once the campaign finally claimed Jimmy’s life, his body was wheeled to wasteland near the A1 and dumped where it lay undiscovered for more than six weeks. Two of the accused, Ann Corbett and Zahid Zaman, were found guilty of murder. The other two, Kay Rayworth and Myra Wood, were found not guilty of murder or manslaughter, but were found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult.
