There are narrow lanes and a speed restriction of 30mph for roadworks at the Silverlink Roundabout, North Tyneside.

Expect delays on the A194 at Leam Lane while the road is widened from two lanes to three. BY BUS: High Street East, Wallsend will be closed for the Wallsend Festival between 5am and 7pm today. During the closures Stagecoach service 22 and Go North East services 1, 1A, 11, 40, 41, 42, 42A will divert via Station Road, Buddle Road and Park Road in both directions.

The Summer Festival opening parade will take place in South Shields today. The parade will set off from Claypath Lane at around 1pm and go via Fowler Street, Ocean Road and Sea Road to Bents Park. Road closures along the parade route are expected between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Route E1 and Go North East routes 5, 20/20A, 27, 50, 88/88A, 516 will be delayed due to rolling road closures. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to consult their drivers on any local diversions. Route TB503 will be unable to serve The Lawe and Keppel Street at these times, please use Coronation Street bus stop instead. BY METRO: No planned works. BY TRAIN: No planned works.
