A NEWCASTLE United fan who jumped off a pub roof has been dubbed the ‘Ultimate Geordie’ – after making it to the match despite fracturing both of his heels.

The loyal Magpie supporter earned the moniker from a policeman who tweeted a picture of the unnamed fan in a wheelchair at the Preston North End versus Newcastle United match on Saturday afternoon, Mirror Online reports.

PC Paul Elliott, Preston North End football officer, posted on his Twitter feed: “Ultimate Geordie jumps off roof of the boozer .... suspected fractured heels...still goes the game!”

This was swiftly followed by: “We don’t condone this behaviour” and emojis of a couple of pints of beer and a ‘cheeky wink.’

The tweet has so far received more than 440 retweets and 560 likes in less than 24 hours, with the picture showing a Toon supporter in a blackand-white jersey with both feet bandaged.

Pictures posted in response appear to show the extent of the fan’s injuries on a hospital trolley, and another showing the feet after medical treatment.

Fellow Twitter users have been quick to join in, with Bedford_Mag posting: “The pain will kick in once the booze has worn off ;)”.

Another tweet from @AWebber1991 read: “Whoever you are, I love ya”.

PC Elliott continued the fan when one user wrote: “I bet if that happened to a southerner, he would have demanded a police escort to the hospital”.

The Preston football officer replied: “A southerner wouldn’t have made it onto the roof in the first place” followed again by another ‘cheeky wink’ emoji.

PC Elliott even went on to speculate the Kings Arms pub in Garstang could now be renamed The Geordie’s Heels following the antics of the ‘Ultimate Geordie.’

The pre-season friendly attended by 7,380 people finished in a 1-1 draw.

Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring for the visitors, but Preston’s Tom Barkhuizen equalised for the Championship side just before the half-hour mark.
