THE Northumber­land Badminton Associatio­n held its junior presentati­on evening at the British Legion Club in Jesmond.

Cups and shields were presented to the singles and doubles winners of the four Age Group County Championsh­ips.

Multiple award-winners were Lucy and James Dodd, Andrew Liang, Ashraf Alam, Emily Harrison and Philip Pahatourid­is.

Special awards were made to the “most promising” boy and girl, Anna Railton and Jamie Tinnion (left), with junior half colours being awarded to Matty Jerdan and full colours to Tinnion. ■■THE third of six weeks of summer junior football coaching run by Newcastle Community Football will be held from Monday, August 14 to Thursday, August 17.
