Cestrians a Street ahead of Sacriston

SACRISTON welcomed Chesterle-Street in Division One of the Durham Cricket Board Under-18 League.

The hosts batted first, making 114-9 thanks to 35 from Matthew Brown, Harry Days taking 3-13.

Chester then reached 117-2 with 1.1 overs to spare, Josh O’Brien making 37 and Scott Robson adding 36 in a crucial 50-run partnershi­p.

Boldon entertaine­d Sunderland and the visitors won the toss and asked the home side to bat.

They amassed 141-8, thanks to an excellent 81 from Nathan Hewitt, Louis Dinsdale, Daniel Harrison and Tom Bowman taking two wickets apiece.

The visitors came up short on 118-5 - despite 64 from Joseph Stuart - with Frankie Kilner taking 3-8.

Easington conceded their game at South Shields, as did Whitburn at home to Peterlee.

In Division Two, Wearmouth could only muster 35 all out at home to Whiteleas, James Dance taking 3-5 and Sid Corner 3-3.

The visitors knocked off the runs in just 6.2 overs, reaching 36-1.

Murton entertaine­d Eppleton, won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first.

They totalled 48 all out, Josh Hutchinson the top scorer with 15 and Anthony Blackmore returning excellent figures of 4-17 and Mason Oliver claiming 3-4 off just 1.3 overs.

The home side scored the runs required (43-2) off 10.1 overs, Bradley Young leading his team to victory with 21 not out.

Felling batted first against Gateshead Fell in Division Three and posted 95-2, Kieron Gilmour hitting 42 not out.

In reply, the visitors made 98-0, Jack Salkeld 50 not out, off 15.3 overs. ■■LINTZ entertaine­d Consett in the NTSL Under-18 League and the visitors won the toss and decided to bat.

They chalked up a mammoth 177-4 off their 20 overs and the home side could only manage 111-9 in reply.

Leadgate hosted Blaydon and asked the visitors to bat first.

They posted 83-7, James Young contributi­ng 30.

In reply, Leadgate mustered 58-9, top-scorer Ross Pearson striking 16 and Paul McCarthy Jnr and Josh Burke each capturing two wickets.
