NEWCASTLE Eagles will unveil their new summer signings in front of familiar opposition next month.

With Scott Martin, Orlan Jackman and Rahmon Fletcher moving on, Fabulous Flournoy has again revamped his side after a season which saw the Eagles lift the BBL Cup and finish runners-up in two of the other three competitions.

Shooting guard Jaysean Paige, point guard Saah Nimley and forwards Jure Gunjina, Kai Williams and Terry Martin have all joined for 2017-18.

Fans will have a first chance to see them against regular pre-season opponents Team USA Select at Sport Central on September 8 (7.30pm).

Team USA Select is a showcase for players looking to win a professional contract.

The following weekend sees back-to-back games at Benfield Sports Centre against local rivals Glasgow Rocks and Team Northumbria.

The Rocks, who Newcastle beat 91-83 in the first cup final of last season are coached by former Eagles play-caller Tony Garbelotto.

They will have a strong Scottish feel next season after signing Great Britain captain Kieron Achara, Gareth Murray, Johnny Bunyan and Ali Fraser.

The sides meet on September 16 at 3pm, and will have less than 24 hours’ turnover before facing Team Northumbria, newcomers to next season’s BBL Trophy.

Marc Steutel’s university-based side have qualified as regularseason champions of Division One last term.

The game tips off at 1.30pm on September 17.

Tickets for all games are available to buy online or by contacting The Eagles Office direct on 0191 245 3880 and fans should look to obtain them as soon as possible as numbers at both venues are limited.

You can get a special offer threegame ticket for £20 (reduced to £18 for 2017-18 season ticket holders) and £8 per game individually (or £7 for season ticket holders).
