FLAGSHIP HOTEL AT AIRPORT
HAMPTON by Hilton has opened its largest hotel in the world at Stansted airport in Essex.
The 357-room property is the brand’s third at a terminal and 23rd across the UK.
It’s connected via a walkway to the airport and guests get a signature free hot breakfast and free wi-fi. Rooms start at £84 a night in the Hilton Summer Sale for bookings made until September 4.

Also at Stansted, the 500-room Radisson Blu is getting a £4.5million upgrade to its accommodation, restaurants and meetings and events area.
New grill restaurant Station 169 has also opened, featuring locally sourced food and an American speakeasy theme (radissonblu.com).
SANDALS UNVEILS ST LUCIA RESORT
LUXURY all-inclusive brand Sandals has unveiled plans for a fourth resort on St Lucia. The 330 all-suite LaSource will feature the Caribbean island’s first rooftop infinity pool, with 360-degree views.
Located at Pigeon Island Beach near Sandals Grande St Lucian, it will break ground later this year and introduce three new restaurant concepts – Americaninspired Tavern, Greek-themed Éros and an oriental noodle shop.
It will also be the first Sandals resort to have continuous winding river pools surrounding every room block (sandals.co.uk).
NEW FLIGHTS FOR FLYBE
REGIONAL airline Flybe has announced its summer 2018 programme with 157 routes.
Highlights include Southampton-Malaga now up to four times a week, Birmingham-Hamburg up to six and Birmingham-Amsterdam up to seven times a week.
