GATESHEAD Hockey Club are holding coaching sessions for anyone interested in taking up the sport or returning to the game.

They will be held on Tuesdays from tomorrow at Kingsmeadow School in Dunston.

Sessons are from 6.15-7.30 (social hockey for adults and boys and juniors aged seven to 14) and 7.30-9.00 (adults and juniors aged 15-18).

He said: “I have had Crème de la Crème for two and a half years and I produced him myself from British novice to qualifying him for the Horse of the Year Show in October.

“He felt great in the arena – perfect – I could not ask much more from him really.” ■■RAMSIDE Hall are the Durham Club Team golf champions for 2017.

Playing in their own back yard, John Kirkpatrick led the way for the hosts with a five-under tally through two rounds.

Ramside’s finishing score of 434 saw them narrowly edge out Durham City by a stroke, City themselves a shot ahead of Castle Eden. ■■D CRAMMAN won South Shields Golf Club’s Seniors Clark Cup (stableford format) with a score of 40, ahead of G Wright (38) and B Hepburn (35).
