GATESHEAD Hockey Club are holding coaching sessions for anyone interested in taking up the sport or returning to the game.

They will be held on Tuesdays from tomorrow at Kingsmeado­w School in Dunston.

Sessons are from 6.15-7.30 (social hockey for adults and boys and juniors aged seven to 14) and 7.30-9.00 (adults and juniors aged 15-18).

He said: “I have had Crème de la Crème for two and a half years and I produced him myself from British novice to qualifying him for the Horse of the Year Show in October.

“He felt great in the arena – perfect – I could not ask much more from him really.” ■■RAMSIDE Hall are the Durham Club Team golf champions for 2017.

Playing in their own back yard, John Kirkpatric­k led the way for the hosts with a five-under tally through two rounds.

Ramside’s finishing score of 434 saw them narrowly edge out Durham City by a stroke, City themselves a shot ahead of Castle Eden. ■■D CRAMMAN won South Shields Golf Club’s Seniors Clark Cup (stableford format) with a score of 40, ahead of G Wright (38) and B Hepburn (35). He also took the Seniors Stableford title.
