Time to revive National Service?

-

DID Hammond and Cameron, in their wisdom, ever think what they were doing when they reduced our armed services by 80,000?

I am sure I can’t be the only person who is worried about North Korea and America.

Two megalomaniacs playing with ballistic missiles and we have ISIS, the Falklands and Gibraltar to contend with, as well as keeping everyone in the UK safe.

Hammond thought he might make up the numbers by using the TA.

Well that went to hell in a handcart because most of the TA lads and lasses left in support of all our services and no one is joining. Just like I said years ago!

Now I know we have a problem with 16-25 year old males who had little or no education and can’t find employment, so they are just hanging around on the streets or getting off their faces on alcohol and drugs.

So it may be time to bring back National Service.

Get them off the streets, stop all their benefits and just maybe it might give these kids something to strive for.

Surely Mrs May can see what is happening or is she too busy with Brexit? Who is running our country at the moment?

No one seems to know or care as long as they are all getting paid nearly £80,000 a year. What a disgrace when so many in this country are relying on food banks. ROSEMARY ROBSON,
