ASHINGTON RAOB kicked off the new season with a bang - trouncing Cramlingto­n Green 17-1.

Lee Scott led the scoring for the Buffs with six, Kyle Oliver notching five goals, Kyle Oliver four and Richard Morris one - an own goal making up the tally.

Scott Smith replied for the Green from the spot when stand-in goalkeeper Mel Harmison brought the forward down.

Amble Tavern thrashed Earsdon Red Lion 12-0.

Phil Airey and Mathew Graham claimed hat-tricks, Josh Hay, Rob Baker and Jake Baker with two goals each.

Another team hitting double figures was Bedlington Social Club United, who triumphed 10-2 against Marden Residents.

Joe Moscrop hit a a hat-trick, Andrew Welsh bagging a brace.

Further goals came from Joe Bolam, Kieran Eagan, Josh Monahan, Sean Eagan and Jonny Barrett.

Les Thompson nabbed both counters for the Residents.

East Chevington went down 4-3 at home to the Whitehouse Ashington.

MacAuley Mason, Kevin Bell and Luke Baston netted for Chevington, on target for the Whitehouse Michael Freathy (3) and Jordan Lashley.

Blyth Town Sunday won 3-0 against Ashington Town Sunday.

Counters for the Blyth side came from Daniel Carr (2) and Chris McCartney.

High Street led the scorers in Division One. prevailing 11-1 against visitors Morpeth Conservati­ver Club.

Anthony Goldie struck seven times and Chris Laidlaw twice, Brandon Nadeem and Dean Fitch completing the scoring.

Robert Lee Brown notched for the Morpeth side.

Newsham Victory defeated Ellington Plough 7-0.

David Lillico netted five times for the Vic, Chris Yellowley and Curtis Miller with the other goals.

Ashington Sporting edged past Bedlington Sunday 3-2.

On target for the Sporting Club were Luke McMahon, Brian Crocker and James Gregory.

John Henderson and Michael Greives replied for the Bedlington side.

Bebside Inn also came through at home, 2-1 against Block and Tackle.

Ryan McKee and Anthony Rutherford scored for the home side, Bradley Higgins for the visitors.

North Blyth Bar picked up their first point in the league with a 3-3 home draw against Guidepost Shakespear­e Tavern.

They did the hard way, coming from behind after giving away two penalties - being 3-1 down before finishing the stronger team.

Connor Willis (2) and Harry Bainbridge notched for the Bar, Jamie Irving, Brandon Lawson and Mark Muldoon for Shakespear­e.
