Mole spot on to ensure Blue Star cannot shine

BLUE Star went down 2-0 at Leam Lane WMC in the Premier Division.

Carl Taylor opened the scoring in the second half with a calmlyplac­ed penalty before Joe Mole sealed the points with 15 minutes remaining.

Birtley RAOB sit proudly at the top of the table with their 100% record intact.

They were 3-2 winners at Whickham Coachman.

A brace from Lewis Proctor and one from Ralph Watson took the points. Lewis Johnson and an own goal counted for the Coachies.

Stormont Main picked up their first win of the campaign - 6-4 over Winlaton West End.

Liam McVicar hit a hat-trick, Sean Pitt bagged a brace and there was one effort from Brandon Lowery.

On target for West End were Alan Heath, Connor Brierley and Carl Piecha (2).

In Division One, Nursery House clipped The Eagle’s wings with a 5-2 success.

There was a hat-trick for George Foster alongside strikes from Daniel Birkbeck and David Reay.

Mark Burns and an own goal counted for The Eagle.

Teams Club are second following their 2-2 draw with Saltwell SC.

Jordon Mole and Connor Lane put the Teams in pole position but counters from Garry Hill and Hassen Colley snatched a point for Saltwell.

Gateshead Three Tuns returned from Rutherford with maximum points following a 4-2 result.

Daniel Wilkinson converted a 25yard free-kick for The Tuns, Keith Scott dispatchin­g two penalties.

Jak Charleswor­th also kept up his record of notching in each game this season.

Shaun White and Adam Sinclair were on target for Rutherford.

Pelaw Grange Dogs triumphed 5-3 against Thomas Wilson after coming back from 3-1 down.

Two from Alan Mulholland and one from Neil Davison put the Wilson in front but a Connor Grieveson hat-trick and one each from Ryan Lancaster and Bri Allen took the points for the Dogs.

Whickham Bay Horse edged a seven-goal clash at Allerdene.

A header from James Kane, a long-range effort from Jack Stone and a Kieran McPherson penalty were not enough for Allerdene as Bay Horse prevailed 4-3.

Their efforts came from a Michael Robson brace added to by Matty Neve and Reece Boyd.

Clara Vale picked up their first success of the season when they ran out 2-1 victors at Inter XI.
