HE BANS HIM WATCHING HORRID HENRY AFTER COPYING HIM

EMMERDALE star Adam Thomas has banned his son from watching Horrid Henry after noticing copycat behaviour.

The actor, who is starring in panto in Newcastle this Christmas, decided to pull the plug on three-year-old Teddy’s access to the show after noticing his attitude had changed.

Other parents said they too had taken similar steps.

“Anyone else banned their kid from watching horrid Henry or is it just us?” Adam, 30, tweeted to his 27,000 followers.

“Ted’s literally turned into Horrid Henry haha.”

And the response was immediate, with followers rushing to agree that the show - which follows the exploits of an authority-loathing prankster - has affected their little ones too.

“Yup we did!! Our daughter kept calling me a worm,” wrote one, while a second added, “Banned my daughter 11 years ago! Dreadful program.”

“I had to ban my two as well!!! It’s awful! They were coming out with all sorts from Moody Margaret!!!” added a third, referencing Henry’s arch-nemesis.

“Omg!! My child has turned into horrid harry! He’s banned from watching it now,” yet another agreed.

Some gave details of the mischief the show had inspired. “My brother was messing my mums room up, pulling all the clothes out the wardrobes because of that show,” wrote one of his followers.

However, not everyone was against the series, which started life as children’s books by Francesca Simon, which were first published in 1994.

“Aww let him watch it, my son was Horrid Henry and he used to call his sister Perfect Peter, he will grow out of it trust me,” another urged.

The books were adapted for TV, with the show running on CITV from 2006, with 208 episodes made.

It even became a film in 2010, when Theo Stevenson, Matt Horne, Richard E. Grant, Anjelica Huston and Noel Fielding starred in the live action 3D version.
