Mor goals for Malcolm in Kill’s victory

LEADERS Killingwor­th YPC kept up their blistering start to the season with a comfortabl­e 4-0 win at home to Wallsend Community.

His side leading by three at the break, it was Malcolm Morien who again took the plaudits with a brace while Martin Roper and Joe Besford also scored.

Top-five pair Hexham and Newcastle Chemfica both suffered losses - the former going down 4-3 at Cramlingto­n Town and the latter crashing 4-2 against visitors Forest Hall.

Level at the break, Town left it until the last minute to earn a home win over Hexham as Glen Straughan (45), David Lillico (55), Kyle Caruso (70) and Brandon Palmer (89) netted for the hosts.

Robbie Pattinson (36), Kurtis Harvey (59) and Hamish Forsyth (95) replied for the visitors.

At Chemfica, Daniel Sherliker and Garrick Murphy-Collins scored for the hosts but they could not prevent the visitors prevailing as Bradley Walsh, Mark Milne, Whitfield and Woods all found the mark.

Felling Magpies and New Fordley hit five counters at home against Monkseaton and Gosforth Bohemians respective­ly.

James Fenwick, Dean Kirtley, Anthony Kew, Liam Jobson-Cook and Jack Burns all notched as the Magpies triumphed 5-1 after Jack Burns had opened the scoring for Monkseaton.

Jak Morris and Ian Lee both struck twice, Alexander Henderson with the fifth in an emphatic 5-0 success for New Fordley.

Wallsend Boys Club earned a 3-2 resulty at Hazlerigg.

The visitors took a two-goal lead through Paul Bell and Aidan Nylander.

Martin Soulsby and Dean Gallagher levelled before full-back Louis Butlin celebrated the winner in the final five minutes.

In the Combinatio­n Cup, Red Row progressed in extra time against Seaton Burn, Mark Nixon scoring twice in a 4-2 victory.

Hebburn Reyrolle lost 4-2 at home to Second Division outfit Coundon in the League Cup. ■■DURHAM Alliance Combinatio­n League leaders Horden Community Welfare edged past Hylton Sports Club 6-5.

Welfare now hold a two-point advantage over second-placed West Auckland Tunns, who beat Wheatley Hill WMC 1-0.
