Vue from the top is great for Belle

BELLE Vue took over at the top of the Premier Division with a 3-0 win over current champions Blue Star.

Belle Vue took the lead when John Mordey put through his own net.

Bobby McCrudden and Alex Francis then sealed the victory.

Highwayman and Crawcrook Albion played out an entertaini­ng 3-3 draw.

Liam Barker, Frazer Briggs and Aaron Gregson were all on target for Albion.

In the Division One Cup, Nursery House were 11-2 winners over Inter XI.

David Reay and Luke Holliday both hit hat-tricks, David Boyle bagged a brace and there were goals for Ian Plunkett, George Foster and Ciaran Layland.

Two counters from Adam Sinclair and one from Shaun White for Rutherford were not enough as The Eagle triumphed 5-3. Mark Burns smashed four goals with Michael Lewis adding the other.

Thomas Wilson prevailed 4-1 at Gateshead Three Tuns with Neil Davison, Luke Gilhespy, Michael Cook and Jack Parker all on the mark and Alan Milne registerin­g for The Tuns.

Chris Smith notched three times for Whickham Bay Horse alongside strikes from Ben Dixon, Mark Cooper and Chris Neve in their 6-0 suuccess over Clara Vale.

There was a hat-trick for Paul Garthwaite, two for Charlie Watson and one each for Michael Hall and Brian Pizzey when Teams Club recorded a 7-0 victory at Leam Lane Rangers.

In the County Cup, Stormont Main hit double figures in beating Durham Buffaloes Head 11-0. Jordan McClarence and Orlind Zela both hit trebles, Sean Pitt chipping in with two.

Finishes from Ryan Shortt, Ryan Todd and Stephen McKenry completed the scoring.

Whickham Coachman beat Ryhope Forresters 5-2. Zak Atkinson, Alex White, Dale Robson, Perry Veitch and an own goal all counted for the Coachies.

Leam Lane WMC needed penalties to edge past Sunderland Donkins following a 3-3 draw.

On target during normal time were Kyle Moffitt, Carl Taylor (penalty) and Josh Wilde.

In the shoot-out, conversion­s from Taylor, Wilde and Robert Cummings sent the Lane through 3-2.
