They endured a 25-11 defeat to Berwick Border Raiders before overcoming Redcar Cubs 18-12.

Jointly supported by Sport England, the programme provides female coaches, as well as male coaches from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, with a financial contribution towards their FA Level Three (UEFA B) in Coaching Football course.

Former Coquet High School students participated in the match in memory of teacher David Coils. ■■THE Northumberland and Tyneside Senior Cricket League’s Under-18 League Cup final between Tynedale and Whickham was abandoned due to rain with Whickham 42-3 in reply to Tynedale’s 112-5. It will be replayed next year.
