It’s business as usual for Lord Sugar next week as The Apprentice returns. We get the lowdown on the hopefuls he’ll put through their paces

ANDREW BRADY 26, project engineer from Cheshire

ANDREW works in the aerospace industry, and says his best business quality is his relentless work ethic.

He says: “I don’t blow smoke up someone’s behind. If someone deserves credit, I will give them it.”

ANISA TOPAN 36, owner of Fashion PR Agency, from Surrey

ANISA by her own admission, is all action.

She says: “I’ve got everything Lord Sugar needs in a business partner. I’m passionate, dynamic and persistent – he’ll love that.”

BUSHRA SHAIKH 34, owner of a clothing company, from Surrey

BUSHRA has a small fashion label, creating luxury apparel for Muslim women.

She says: “I’ve been raised not to be a pushover – in the words of Destiny’s Child, I’m an independen­t woman.”

CHARLES BURNS 24, management consultant from Manchester

CHARLES believes his best qualities are his passion, and determinat­ion but admits he can talk too much.

He says: “When life throws you lemons, make and sell lemonade for a healthy profit.”

DANNY GRANT 32, owner of an online retail store from Kent

DANNY believes that his best quality is his loyalty, but is keen to stress he’s not a “doormat”.

He says: “I don’t get on with people with a stick up their a**e.”

ELIZABETH MCKENNA 39, florist chain owner, from Nottingham­shire

SHE describes herself as a “slightly bonkers country girl”.

She says: “My big feet get me into trouble as they’re as big as my mouth and I constantly get them stuck in it, but... they also kick butt.”

ELLIOT VAN EMDEN, 31, owner of a legal firm, from London

TO his mates, Elliot is nicknamed ‘Tory Boy’ as he used to work in the office of David Cameron.

He says: “Sometimes to get to the top, you have to grease the pole behind you.”

HARRISON JONES 27, sales executive, from London

HARRISON started his own landscapin­g business aged just 19.

He says: “I have a good work ethic and am always willing to work to full capacity to achieve my goals.”

JADE ENGLISH 25, PR & marketing manager, from Manchester

JADE believes she has the ability to pick up on people’s behaviours, and therefore finds it easy to build a rapport.

She says: “I’m emotionall­y intelligen­t and able to get the best out of people.”

JAMES WHITE 26, owner of a recruitmen­t firm, from Birmingham

HE considers his drive and ambition his best qualities. He used to have the nickname ‘Del Boy’, and enjoys white collar boxing.

He says: “Intimidati­on is what motivates me.”

JEFF WAN 28, business analyst, from London

JEFF is also a semi-pro hip-hop dancer, even performing at the O2 Arena.

He says: “I bring character, charm and swagger to the table... coupled with profession­al and educationa­l experience.”

SIOBHAN SMITH 34, owner of a wedding company, from London

SHE considers herself to be very direct, and sometimes people take her honesty the wrong way.

She says: “I fly planes, scuba dive, jump off cliffs, paraglide... people call me superwoman.

SARAH LYNN 35, owner of confection­ery company, from London

SHE says she’s a “people person”, and that her ability to sell is one of her assets.

She says: “Women are like tea bags – you don’t know how strong they are until you put them in hot water.”

SARAH JAYNE CLARK 25, clothing company owner, from Derbyshire

SARAH owns a ladies’ fashion shop and believes her loyalty is one of her best qualities.

She says: “I am the definition of a girl boss – I get things done and make things happen.”

SAJAN SHAH 24, owner of an event company, from London

SAJAN feels candidates will be using him as their role model after the series. He says: “Like a Chinese dish, I’m potent, deliciousl­y driven, full of flavour and I sizzle.”

ROSS FRETTEN 29, digital product consultant, from Essex

HE plans to sit back and let people “dig their own graves” before burying them.

He says: “I’m usually the smartest person in any room and I’ll make sure people know that.”

MICHAELA WAIN 33, business owner, constructi­on, from Bolton

AS a woman in a maledomina­ted industry, she says she despises men who talk down to her.

She says: “I have no patience for people who say stupid stuff.”

JOANNA JARJUE 23, digital marketing manager, from Manchester

SHE considers being determined and a great talker to be her best qualities.

She says: “Don’t wake a sleeping lion – if you underestim­ate me I might just bite.”
