Mariners are facing a huge Pools tester

SOUTH Shields face the biggest FA Cup tie in the club’s history when National League side Hartlepool United head to Mariners Park.

The full-strength Mariners know a win tomorrow would put them into the first round proper and continue their impressive form in cup competitio­ns.

Shildon, the Northern League’s last side left in the FA Cup, head to National League club Guiseley.

Michael Rae is expected to be fit after a hernia operation but Daniel Moore will have to do without the cup-tied Martyn Coleman.
