Leaders Vue it as a terrific win

ONLY one game took place in the Premier Division - leaders Belle Vue winning 7-2 against Crawcrook Albion.

James Bowman, John Dewhurst and Joe Hailes all scored twice with Anthony Thompson grabbing the other for Vue. John Hall bagged a brace for Albion.

In the Premier Division Cup, Fiddlers Three prevailed 5-3 against Whickham Coachman thanks to a hat-trick from Jonathan Hurst and a brace from Paul Donnelly.

On target for the Coachies were Zak Atkinson, David Loughlin and Dale Robson.

Stormont Main progressed with a 6-2 success at Winlaton West End

Jordan McClarence notched twice with Liam McVicar, Ben Miller, Liam Graham and Dean McCallum also registerin­g.

Alan Heath claimed both of West End’s counters.

Leam Lane WMC triumphed 11-2 against Westwood.

Reece Young and Jack Docherty had given Westwood an early lead before Leam Lane hit back with two strikes from Joe Mole and one each from Tony Falconer, Robert Dixon and Robert Hall before half-time.

Connor Halpin was on the scoresheet before Leon Kane grabbed four goals in 20 minutes.

Jordan Bolton wrapped things up with a strike from distance.

Birtley RAOB came through 5-3 against Highwayman.

Callum Turnbull, Eddie Liddle, Philip Clarke, Logan Powell and Philip Temple all netted for Birtley.

Dan Freeman, Steven Cain and Craig Stephenson replied for Highwayman.

In Division One, Thomas Wilson took over at the top with a 2-0 win over Teams Club.

Nathan Bailey and Neil Davison found the net.

Gateshead Three Tuns dropped to second after they lost 4-2 at Whickham Bay Horse.

Jak Charleswor­th claimed both finishes for The Tuns but a double from Kevin Hay, and one each from Marc Udale and Tony McMeiken, moved Bay Horse up to third.

Nursery House triumphed 11-1 at Inter XI.

George Foster opened the scoring for Nursery after only 15 seconds, followed by a hat-trick from veteran centre-half Chris Burns amd two each from Ciaran Leyland, David Reay and Luke Holliday, David Boyle completing the rout. Matthew Saunders put away Inter’s consolatio­n.

Allerdene prevailed 3-1 against Pelaw Grange Dogs.

Martin Summersatt, Scott Alexander and a debut effort for Sam McKenry gave Allerdene the points. Bri Allen replied for The Dogs.

Two counters from Kendjo Zadjo and an own goal helped Saltwell to a 3-1 win at Leam Lane Rangers. Paul Thompson registered for Rangers.

Clara Vale picked up their second victory of the season - 1-0 over Rutherford. Michael Ritson scored the decisive goal.

Blue Star crashed out of the AllEngland Sunday Cup, losing 3-1 to Burradon New Fordley - Mark Doninger claiming their counter.
