TITLE favourites South Shields comfortabl­y won 6-0 at home against league strugglers Blyth.

The visitors were unable to stop Dionne Fleming, who netted four times.

Elizabeth Fraser and Rosie Burns were also on the scoresheet for South Shields, who made it two from two in the league.

Blyth are still searching for a victory in both league and cup this season.

Late goals condemned Consett to a second successive setback, losing 2-1 at home to league leaders Boro Rangers.

The hosts took a half-time lead through Beth Wilson as Consett looked comfortabl­e against the Teessiders.

However, with 12 minutes remaining, Consett defender Kirsty Wood put through her own net, heading a Larissa Burkinshaw cross past her own goalkeeper.

The Teesside outfit then scored four minutes from time, substitute Jessica Thomas curling her shot past the goalkeeper to snatch the points.
