What to do for Halloween:

SO Halloween is very nearly upon us and if you’re in Newcastle over the next week there are plenty of tricks and treats in store.

Halloween itself is on Tuesday this year but the partying gets going a lot earlier. It’s looking like the big night for fancy dress fun in the Toon is going to be Saturday, October 28, but there are events running right from tomorrow right through to Halloween night.

From free events to ones you’re going to need a ticket for, we look at the ghoulish goings on with a guide to what’s on in pubs and clubs during Halloween week...

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27

Candypants Terror Tour, Livello

It is that time of the year when the wold famous clubbing brand throw their unmissable Halloween event and this year the terror tour will break lose at one of the most talked about venue in Newcastle – Livello. Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble and swiftly moving from Shakespear­e to sequins, there’s a real melting pot of a show awaiting revellers at Boulevard this Halloween.

Their Summer Show ticked all the boxes with the perfect blend of sun drenched standards and musical medleys from the likes of Lady GaGa and Grease.

And while there might be a chill in the air as we creep closer to October 31, the temperatur­e is red hot down on Churchill Street.

The show features everything from Little Mix to Hocus Pocus and there are showings running all Halloween weekend and Halloween night itself.

For those of you who can’t get out on the 31st, Jaluminati are putting on another Halloween night, Spoohiki!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28

A Nightmare on Collingwoo­d Street

Be prepared for A Nightmare on Collingwoo­d Street on the run-up to Halloween in Newcastle city centre .

Madame Koos, Floritas, and House Of Smith are running a real fright-fest for revellers this year.

This year the three interconne­cted bars will lay host to four events which they hope will attract more than 10,000 people. Now in its seventh year, it’s the first time A Nightmare on Collingwoo­d Street has been done to this scale and will include a full interior and exterior production, with some of the city’s best entertainm­ent and DJs.

Rumour has it that every 27 years an ancient evil shapeshifi­tng spirit buried deep bellow the foundation­s of Tup Tup Palace emerges, praying on the people of Newcastle, sucking the souls of the weak by taking shape of their deepest darkest fears.
