Tait grabs the only goal to seal a narrow victory for Vue

PREMIER Division leaders Belle Vue took the points with a narrow 1-0 win over Leam Lane WMC - Greg Tait with the crucial goal.

Whickham Coachman just defeated Blue Star 3-2.

The Coachies’ scorers were Ryan Davenport, Jordan Carling and Owen Fitzpatric­k.

Registerin­g for Blue Star were Mark Doninger and Nicki Langston.

Crawcrook Albion were 3-1 victors over Winlaton West End thanks to strikes from Liam Barker, Alex Phillips and Rhys Harbottle. Carl Piecha replied for West End.

Fiddlers Three and Birtley RAOB picked up one point in a 2-2 draw.

Jonathan Hirst and Aiden Willis registered for Fiddlers while a Ryan Clarke double counted for Birtley.

In Division One, The Eagle triumphed 12-2 against Inter XI with Mark Burns top-scoring with six of their counters.

Paul Hargreaves hit his second hat-trick of the season and there were also finishes from Lee Murdock, Kane Wheatley and Robert Allan.

Inter’s consolatio­ns came from Matthew Saunders and Jack Parkinson.

Leam Lane Rangers came out on top in a 12-goal clash at Nursery House.

Joe Hunter claimed four of Rangers’ tally, including two penalties, with Michael Harrison adding the other.

Nursery House were 5-2 down at one stage before pulling it back to 5-5.

David Reay hit a hat-trick with George Foster and Ryan Maddock also on the mark for Nursery.

However, two late efforts from Anthony Huddart sealed a 7-5 success for Rangers.

There were two goals from Karl Pyle, and one each from Liam Johnson and Adam Sinclair for Rutherford at Gateshead Three Tuns.

However, The Tuns ran out 6-4 winners through a Chris Kelly brace and strikes from Jak Charleswor­th, Ewan McAlindon and Anthony Fishwick. Keith Scott completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
