Murder charge after death crash
A MAN has been charged with murder after a woman was killed in an alleged hit-and-run in North Tyneside.
Susan Fuller, 63, died following a collision with a grey Audi A3 outside her home in Howdon, Wallsend.
Police arrested two people after the incident and have now charged a man.
Sean Herman, 24, of Tillmouth Avenue, Seaton Delaval, has been charged with murder and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
It follows the alleged hit-and-run on Coldstream Gardens at 10.20am on Friday.
Susan was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers continue to support her family.
A 29-year-old woman was also arrested following the incident but she has been released under investigation.
Herman will now appear before North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Tributes have poured in for mumof-three Susan since Friday.
Brian Pickard, who has known Susan for more than 25 years, said: “I knew her very, very well. She was my best friend. She was a lovely lady without a doubt. She was just one of the best.”
Brian said Susan doted on her three sons.
