Tasty Snowballs are back

- By GORDON BARR

IT’S not an urban legend…Snowball Dough Ball Day is back!

With all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support, dough-loving diners are encouraged to walk into any PizzaExpress restaurant, donate £1 and receive a portion of the delicious festive treat.

Snowball Dough Balls are a festive fan favourite combining PizzaExpress’s iconic Dough Balls, with a sprinkle of cinnamon, a flurry of icing sugar and a choice between a generous vanilla cream or the new salted caramel dip.

So forget December 25, this Christmas at PizzaExpress it’s all about November 22. From 11.30am and throughout the day, you’ll be able to walk into your nearest PizzaExpress restaurant, donate £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support, and enjoy a portion of this fabled Christmas dessert.

Traditionally run on an annual basis to celebrate the launch of the restaurant brand’s Christmas menu, this year all funds raised from Snowball Dough Ball Day will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Just £28 could cover the cost of a Macmillan nurse for an hour, £546 could fund a Macmillan support worker for a week and £3,000 could pay for the build costs of an extra cancer Information Point. Every £1 donated will both help the charity, and result in a sweet Christmas treat! Macmillan Cancer Support provides vital emotional, financial, practical and medical support for the growing number of people living with cancer in the UK.
