Alberta are too strong for Bar A

ALBERTA played the Westoe Bar A and took a 4-1 lead into the start of the singles rundown.

Barry McCann drew with Jimmy Hudson and Bob Urwin won for the Westoe but wins by Alberta’s Chris Reay, Andy Heley, Dave Gutteridge and Lee Hughes gave the Alberta a 13-4 Victory.

Snooker Club B played the Caledonian and found themselves 5-0 down after the triples and the pairs. Dave Mochan drew with Billy Gowans as did Shaun Galloway/Colin Ewart, John Turner/Billy Stevenson, Ian Addison/Geordie Walsh and with wins by Mark White and Geoff Murray it was a 13-4 victory for the Caledonian. Dave Mochan and Geoff Murray hit 180s.

Voyager entertained the Boldon Lad and were 4-1 down going into the singles. Colin Gates drew with Eddie Gutteridge as did Jordon Rossiter/Dennis Archbold, Mike Slight/Paul Lambert Jnr but wins by Boldon Lads Phil Armstrong (180), Shaun Cavanagh and Chris Lagan gave them a 13-4 Win.

At The Westoe Bar it was the Bar B verses the Cyprus and it was a bad day at the office as the Westoe ran out 17-0 Winners thanks to wins by Peter Stephenson, Tony Ellis, Ernie Hudson, Dave Whitehead, Andy Nellist and Paul Johnson. Johnson and Stephenson hit 180s.

In The Westoe Room the visitors were the Snooker Club A who took a 4-1 lead into the singles rundown, Peter Buglass won for the Westoe and Chris Stephenson/Gordon Barkas, Mark Stephenson/Dave Stephenson, Lenny Stephenson/Karl Elliott all drew and wins by Paul Morrison and Brian Campbell gave the Snooker Club a 11-6 victory. Lenny Stephenson and Brian Campbell hit 180s.
