BY CAR: Narrow lanes and a speed restriction of 30mph are in force at Silverlink, North Tyneside, affecting the A1058 Coast Road and the A19. The A189 Killingworth Road is closed between West Farm Avenue and A191 Benton Park Road. One lane is closed due to roadworks on the A184 Felling Bypass between Heworth Roundabout and Leam Lane. Water main work on the A191 Whitley Road means a lane is closed.

BY BUS: Route Q1 to Gateshead Interchange is missing Jackson Street, High Street and Arthur Street to avoid roadworks. Passengers should use Gateshead Interchange. Wardley bus gate is closed due to roadworks on the Felling Bypass. Route 57 is diverted via the Black Bull overbridge and is not calling at the westbound bus stop on Sunderland Road. The stop opposite the Halifax on New Bridge Street West in Newcastle (service 36) is suspended for safety reasons. Passengers can board at the Laing Art Gallery on John Dobson Street or Blackett Street. Due to emergency gas works, Station Lane, Birtley, will be closed (at the railway bridge) until further notice. Go North East 28 & 28A will divert between Birtley Front Street and Pelton via A167, Barley Mow, North Lodge and Blind Lane roundabout, then A693. They won’t serve part of Station Lane. Passengers should use stops on Birtley Front Street. For Ouston catch the 28/28A to Pelton and change to 34/34A.

Whickham View, Newcastle, will be closed for resurfacing between 9:30am and 3:30pm weekdays from today to Tuesday, . Route 38 will be diverted from the junction between West Road and Pendower Way, continuing along West Road and Denton Road to the Whickham View Terminus in both directions.
