Holiday with extra

-

HARRY Potter fans can enjoy a magical break and holiday like Hagrid, thanks to a Teesside holiday park.

A holiday retreat in East Cleveland has conjured up a novel take on a which is set to lure North East families on a weekend away.

North Shire at Golden Hill Farm, near Liverton in East Cleveland, is a holiday resort known for its quirky accommodation, attracting visitors from all over the world with the help of such attractions including a hobbit house, in keeping with its name.

This grass-roofed house is like stepping into a scene from The Lord of the Rings and owner Carol Hopkinson hasn’t stopped there.

Visitors can also book in to a Story Book Cottage which boasts a replica Narnia wardrobe hiding a secret room.

And soon they will be enchanted to find more rooms with surreal views as Carol is now going one step further into the world of magical holiday breaks.

The idea is the biggest to date for North Shire and, besides a recreation of Hagrid’s hut, plans for the venture will include the Great Hall and a recreation of the Weasley kitchen. There will also be a Ford Anglia parked outside.

The copy of the Weasley family car which was bewitched to enable it to fly Harry Potter, Hermione and Ron to Hogwarts will no doubt prove a talking point when the new developments open and first visitors book to stay in Hagrid’s Hut and eat in The Great Hall.

Guests can also escape from reality in a medieval-style tavern called The Green Dragon Cafe.

Carol is hoping to corner the novel wedding market too with the help of The Great Hall as well as The Forbidden Forest which will feature chandeliers and long tables among the trees.
