ASHINGTON RAOB reached the quarter-finals of the George Davison Cup with a 2-0 home win against Earsdon Red Lion.

Goals for the Buffs came from Kyle Oliver - with a 25-yard effort which flew in off the crossbar - and Scott Dunn.

The Buffs will be at home to Newsham Victory in the last eight this weekend.

Amble Tavern booked their place in the semi-finals of the S A Randolph Cup with a 9-0 home victory against Marden Residents.

Josh Hay and Adam Shanks both claimed hat-tricks.

Also on target were Rob Baker, Jake Baker and Ross Gair.

In the Premier Division there were wins for Blyth Town Sunday and Ashington Town Central.

Blyth Town triumphed 7-0 at home to the Whitehouse Ashington.

Rob Ridley and Daniel Carr led the scoring with two strikes each, further counters courtesy of Martyn Hepple, Kevin Long and Ryan McKee.

The Central came through 7-1 at Cramlingto­n Green.

Michael Jordan notched for the Green, Michael Todd (4), Scott Neal (2) and Gary Scott with the other goals.

Only two of the four games were played in Division One.

Ashington Sporting Club went down 5-1 at home against Newbiggin New Ship.

Jamie Graham netted for Sporting, Lee Warren (2), David Jobson (2) and McAuley Burt for the Ship.

High Street lost 7-4 at home against Bedlington Sunday.

Anthony Goldie led the scoring for the Street with a hat-trick, Chris Laidlaw with their other counter.

Andrew McLennen claimed a hat-trick for Sunday, Tommy Wilkinson (2) , Michael Greives and Dean Simmons with the others.
