Vintage shop offers lessons in up-cycling

-

VINTAGERA is a cosy boutiquestyle vintage shop nestled in the centre of Alley 3 of Grainger Market.

The shop owner Alan has settled in the North East after many years of trading in London, so why not drop in and say a friendly Geordie welcome.

Established 2016, it stocks many vintage items, including handbags, jewellery, collectables, pictures and quirky gifts.

It also lovingly up-cycles furniture items, jewellery boxes, vases and just about anything you require for your home.

Vintager also takes on client commissions and by simply showing them a photograph of your own colour scheme or wallpaper, can collect your item and up-cycle it to your specification.

Should you wish to up-cycle your items but don’t have the confidence to try, why not sign up for one of their shabby-chic workshops? You’ll learn painting, waxing and varnishing techniques and how to decoupage on an image for that extra special decorative style.

Clare, from Gateshead, tried a class. She said: “I am doing my own up-cycling now after attending a very entertaining and informative class”.

Vintager are also stockists of Vintro chalk paint and product range, so you can purchase the varied range of colour paints there too. There will be a workshop in January 2018 and that could be a great gift idea for this Christmas.
