SPA TREATMENTS AT SEA
BRITISH health spa pioneer Champneys, which began as a health farm in 1925, is heading out to sea in partnership with the UK’s third largest cruise line, Marella Cruises.
Marella Explorer, the fleet’s latest and biggest ship will be making its maiden voyage in May.
The state-of-the-art spa’s new floating residence will offer a full menu of Champney treatments, plus an exclusive treatment available only on board the new ship.
A seven-night Paradise Islands cruise to the Caribbean on Marella Explorer will sail from Barbados on December 9, 2018, calling at Antigua, St Maarten, British Virgin Islands, St Kitts and Bequia and the Grenadines.

TECH A LOOK AT THIS DESTINATION
SUPERCOOL brand Yotel will open its first property in Edinburgh in early 2019. It’s going to be a renovation of a building on Queen Street in the Scottish capital’s Unesco-listed Georgian New Town and will have 280 hi-tech cabins and suites.
Each will feature a Technowall with adjustable mood lighting, smart TVs for connectivity to guests’ own devices, the brand’s signature adjustable SmartBed and free, fast wi-fi.

ROCK ON IN THE SWISS ALPS
HARD Rock Hotels has opened its first property in continental Europe, at Davos in the Swiss Alps.
It’s a 110-room, music-inspired conversion of a late 19th-century building and features memorabilia on the walls – including outfits worn by Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Elvis Presley – two bars, plus the brand’s signature Sessions restaurant, and a spa. Rooms start at £264 a night B&B.
