The session runs from 10.003.00 and covers the basics of cricket scoring.

Hardman - club captain at Brandon ABC - defeated Daniel Pettler from Tootil BC.

He earned a unanimous points decision from the judges to claim his first title belt.

Brandon head coach Alex Oliver said: “Peter is Brandon through and through and we are incredibly proud of his achievemen­t.” ■■NORTHUMBER­LAND’S Goswick Golf Club has been nominated for the Championsh­ip Venue of the Year Award at the 2018 England Golf Awards.

The club will discover if it has been successful at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel on February 22. ■■THE Durham Phoenix Fencing Club is planning to set up a new base at Hetton School on Janaury 11 to attract more people from Wearside into the sport.
