Electric finance deals for 2018
NEW Year cheap finance deals will enable buyers to fund a Dacia for significantly less than a fiver a day, with more than £5,000 effectively knocked off the price of an electric Renault.
Dacia already claims that its cars are the least expensive available in the UK, and now there is a special deal to reinforce the point.
It means that the Sandero SCe 75 model is on offer over three years for £100 a month, which is just £25 a week, or less than £5 a day.
It is being offered on a personal contract plan with a customer deposit of £1,316 at a finance rate of 5%.
This makes it a relatively low rate for the buyer, while enabling the car company to act as a bank by charging 10 times the current base rate.
In the case of the popular Duster Laureate TCe 125 two-wheel-drive, there is a deposit of £1,800 including a manufacturer’s contribution of £500, with monthly payments of £180 over three years.
The small crossover Sandero Stepway in Laureate TCe 90 guise requires a deposit of £2,520 followed by monthly payments of £130 per month.
A larger deposit of £3,055 is required for the Logan Stepway, which then costs £140 a month for the Laureate TCe 90 version spread over three years.
Dacia’s sister company Renault has announced a range of offers on its all-electric ZOE supermini, which coincidentally also involve a 5% PCP deal.
There are different offers for those looking to purchase the vehicle outright with the batteries included or for those looking to lease the batteries separately with a lower purchase price.
Renault is also continuing to include a 7kW wall box charger installed at the buyer’s home to achieve the quickest charging.
For those leasing the battery, the ZOE is priced from £14,245 excluding battery hire but including the Plug in Car Grant.
The vehicle is available with a three-year Selections PCP package at an interest rate of 5%.
Using this scheme, the ZOE Dynamique Nav R90 Z.E.40 can be acquired from £200 per month over 36 months with a deposit of £2,600 and a dealer contribution of £5,245.
For those who would rather buy the whole vehicle and not lease the battery, the ‘full purchase’ ZOE-i Dynamique Nav is priced from £19,845. With the three-year Selections PCP package, the ZOE-i Dynamique Nav R90 Z.E.40 is on offer from £270 per month for 36 months with a customer deposit of £4,700 and an additional dealer deposit contribution of £5,200.
The ZOE is an all-electric, fivedoor supermini available in a choice of three trim levels and with two battery options.
With the new Z.E.40 battery, the ZOE’s official range is 250 miles, although Renault estimates that in real-world driving conditions this is more likely to be around 185 miles in summer and 125 miles in cold winter conditions.
The vehicle can charge from zero to 80% full in an hour using the home charger.
Standard kit includes climate control, 7in touchscreen R-Link infotainment system with satnav, hands-free keycard, automatic lights and wipers and rear parking sensors.
The new top-of-the-range Signature Nav trim version also boasts leather upholstery, a seven-speaker BOSE audio system, heated front seats and a rear parking camera.
