A LEGION OF NEW ENTERTAINMENT

THERE’S a lot happening in the X-Men universe this year.

Three new movies will be landing before the end of the year and, season two of Legion is expected to air in April.

For fans who can’t wait that long though, a new five-part comic series – Trauma – sees Legion (David Haller) battling an emerging new enemy. Himself.

As the son of Professor Charles Xavier, David has always had trouble containing his multiple personalities, each with their own mutant power.

But now a terrifying new personality is threatening to absorb these powers and take over David’s mind and body.

From writer Peter Milligan (X-Statix, Shade the Changing Man) and artist Wilfredo Torres (Moon Knight, Black Panther), Legion #1 is out now priced £3.35.

STOP, OR THERE WILL BE TROUBLE

NEWS reaches us that a new Robo-Cop movie is in the pipeline and it’s being worked on by the original’s co-writer and producer Ed Neumeier.

Even better, the movie is reportedly a direct sequel to the 1987 classic, ignoring all the previous sequels and the terrible 2014 remake.

Speaking to told Zeitgeist Magazine, Neumeier said: “We’re not supposed to say too much.

“It’s a little bit more of the old school thing.”

Music to our ears.

DREDD-ING THE END

ALL good things must come to an end, and this is the final week of the fantastic Beyond Dredd & Watchmen: The Art of John Higgins.

John found global success as a comic book artist and writer for 2000AD, DC and Marvel.

Hosted in his home city of Liverpool, the exhibition features dozens of pieces of original art alongside examples of the work of the artists and science fiction classics that inspired him.

The free installation, which ends on February 3, is at the Victoria Gallery and Museum in the University of Liverpool, and is well worth catching.
