THE North Tyneside Junior Badminton Academy’s annual junior tournament will be held at John Spence High School in North Shields on Sunday, February 25 (10.00-4.00).

There will be competitio­ns in singles and doubles for under-14s, under-16s and -under-19s and entry is £9 for singles or doubles or £10 for both.

■■BRITISH Cycling have confirmed the National Road and Time Trial Championsh­ips will be held in Northumber­land this summer as part of the annual Cyclone Festival of Cycling.

The festival, from June 28-July 1, will also include the Cyclone Challenge Rides, open to anyone from relative newcomers to experience­d club cyclists.
