THE North Tyneside Junior Badminton Academy’s annual junior tournament will be held at John Spence High School in North Shields on Sunday, February 25 (10.00-4.00).
There will be competitions in singles and doubles for under-14s, under-16s and -under-19s and entry is £9 for singles or doubles or £10 for both.

Clinic director Karen Dearden will deliver workshops in Hexham, Wideopen, Cramlington and Forest Hall on injury prevention and treatment for youth players.

■■BRITISH Cycling have confirmed the National Road and Time Trial Championships will be held in Northumberland this summer as part of the annual Cyclone Festival of Cycling.
The festival, from June 28-July 1, will also include the Cyclone Challenge Rides, open to anyone from relative newcomers to experienced club cyclists.
