Keep Britain out of costly cases

-

MORE so-called British men, who left our shores and joined ISIS to fight in Syria, were captured by Kurdish fighters. They were apparently part of Jihadi John’s assassination squad, who went around beheading helpless, innocent people, many of whom were caught up in the terror simply because they went out there themselves to help others.

Well, once again, the do-gooders, the uphold-theBritish-principle-of-the-ruleof-law bandwagon, is about to roll, and, before it gets going, I have a proposition to make.

Let us British keep out of it, and, instead, use the massive sums of money that otherwise will undoubtedly be “wasted” giving them justice, to fund the NHS here at home. The case is that these men are British, and so we ought to have them repatriated so that they can be accountable for their crimes, but also, so that they can receive a fair trial.

However a law was passed recently, stating that those who left the UK to join ISIS lost their status as British. But there is also the claim that they could be “state-less”, so the UK still needs to step in! Next, the Americans want to get their hands on them, which, no doubt we shall resist.

Then there’s the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands, they are claiming “ownership”. Not to mention Syria’s claims.

Can you imagine how much the lawyers, QCs, the Government and other agencies in the UK will spend on sorting this out?

Meanwhile, ill patients are waiting in corridors on trollies in hospitals up and down the country, because of a lack of money? This is a no-brainer.

Let’s stop this nonsense before it starts, and have the UK Government wash its hands of these people and pledging that the money they would have to spend defending and upholding the British rule of law, will go to the NHS. I urge you to write to your MP, now.
