CALUM SCOTT REVEALS HIS FASHION REMINDER OF HIS BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT BREAK
What are you wearing at the
moment? I am wearing a white shirt with skulls, under a green bomber jacket from Kooples, black suede boots by Dune, black jeans by Unconditional and the new limited edition Grammy timepiece by Bulova. Luckily, I have just finished getting ready for a party so if I had answered earlier, I would have been in my pants.
Who’s your style icon? David Beckham. Every time I see him on Instagram he is killing it with his wardrobe. But of all time it is Michael Jackson.
What item of clothing do you
spend the most on? Jackets. I have a slight obsession with them and have now got a seasonal and categorised jacket section of my wardrobe.
What is your favourite piece of
clothing in your wardrobe? My Ralph Lauren denim and camo shirt that I wore in my Britain’s Got Talent audition. I put it on that morning without a thought and it now sits in a frame in my studio as a reminder of the moment my life completely changed.
What is the most expensive item
in your wardrobe? My Rolex. In September 2016, I became an uncle to my nephew, Oliver, I had my debut late night TV performance on Late Night with Seth Myers, my debut daytime TV performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show AND helped close the Paralympic Games in Rio. I had to mark the occasion and every time I look at it I can’t believe what a lucky Yorkshireman I am. What has been your biggest fashion faux pas? Probably performing with my fly undone! Who is your favourite designer? Alexander McQueen, Joshua Kane, who dresses me for red carpets, and Giuseppe Zanotti. Which is your favourite high street store? Kooples for me.
Calum’s debut album Only Human is out on March 9. He tours the UK in April. calumscott.com. BY MARION MCMULLEN
