The A184 Felling Bypass either side of Heworth roundabout is down to a single lane due to roadworks. Shields Road either side of the Heworth roundabout is only open to buses. The A185 Shields Road is closed in both directions due to roadworks between Low Heworth Lane and A184/ B1426 Shields Road (Heworth Roundabout) except to buses. There are narrow lanes and a speed restriction of 30mph for long-term roadworks on the A19 at A1058 Coast Road/Silverlink roundabout until March 1 2019. BY BUS: Temporary traffic lights will be on Union Hall Road in Newcastle (between the A69 junction and Addison Road) whilst resurfacing work is undertaken. The work will be carried out between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day to avoid the peak-time traffic. Journeys on services 6, 7, 8, 10 and 39 may be delayed. Bus stops on Cherry Blossom Way and Nissan Way in Washington are out of use for road improvements. Early morning routes 56 and 56A are diverted via Spire Road. Greenside Road in Crawcrook, Gateshead, will be closed on the evenings of Monday and Tuesday from 7pm each evening until 6am the next morning for resurfacing. Routes 10A and 10B will be unable to serve Greenside Road from Crawcrook crossroads to the bypass. Passengers should use the stops at St Agnes Gardens on Main Street as an alternative.
