ANT & DEC’S SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY

Tonight, ITV, 7pm SINGER-SONGWRITER George Ezra, whose new album Staying at Tamara’s is released next week, opens the show with a performanc­e of his new hit Paradise, as well as joining the Geordie duo on stage for the End of The Show Show.

Ashley Banjo’s recent stint as a Dancing On Ice judge came to en end last week. Tonight, he and younger brother Jordan Banjo, along with the rest of dance troupe Diversity are pushed to their limits in the return of Get Out Of My Ear!

Stephen Mulhern and Scarlett Moffatt join in the fun, and another player gets the chance to Win the Ads.

THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL

Tomorrow, ITV, 9pm ITV’S surprise hit medical drama set in a South Indian hospital and starring Amrita Acharia and Amanda Redman is back for a second series.

Many fans said the idyllic setting was one reason they loved the show; it’s certainly a far cry from the gloomy Britain we can see outside our windows at the moment. In fact, the opening episodes begins as a blistering heatwave hits Kerala, which causes its own challenges for Ruby. But there’s worse to come when she’s forced to carry out a test that stretches her skills to their limit.

STAR BOOT SALE

Monday, C4, 5.30pm WHAT do celebritie­s have lurking in their lofts and the back of their cupboards?

There’s a chance to find out as this new series invites famous faces to sell their unwanted items at car-boot sales across the country, with all proceeds going to their favourite charities.

Over the next four weeks, we’ll see the likes of Anthea Turner, Colin Jackson, Bobby Davro and Ann Widdecombe clearing out their clutter, but we begin with comedian Joe Pasquale. His natural sales patter is sure to bring in the punters, but will they be tempted to splash out on his eclectic collection of memorabili­a?

GREAT INDIAN RAILWAY JOURNEYS

Tuesday, BBC2, 8pm GUIDED by his Bradshaw’s 1913 Handbook of Indian, Michael Portillo embarks on this new series with a journey from Amritsar to Shimla.

Beginning in the Sikh holy city, Michael is dazzled by the beauty of the Golden Temple. Along the

way he helps to feed people at the world’s largest free kitchen, and travels the railway routes used by millions of migrants during Partition.

ZOE BALL’S HARDEST ROAD HOME Wednesday, BBC1, regions vary

IT’S Sports Relief this week and one celebrity who’s been doing more than her bit is Zoe Ball. In a bid to raise money the Radio 2 presenter is cycling from her birthplace of Blackpool to her beloved hometown of Brighton.

This documentar­y follows her progress as she pushes herself to the limit.

MARTIN LUTHER KING BY TREVOR MCDONALD Thursday, ITV, 9pm

SIR Trevor McDonald has met many remarkable people, but wishes he could have spoken to Martin Luther King, the American civil rights leader assassinat­ed on April 4, 1968.

As the 50th anniversar­y approaches, Sir Trevor travels to the Deep South of America to learn more about the man and discover what King was fighting against. He meets a former Ku Klux Klan member who confesses that there was a time when he would have targeted him because of the colour of his skin.

SPORT RELIEF 2018 Friday, BBC1, 7pm

IN the lead up to tonight’s Sport Relief, the Billion Steps Challenge has been taking place as the British public have been encouraged to get active and raise cash to help people living tough lives both in the UK and around the world.

For the first time, tonight’s show comes live from Salford, with Gary Lineker, Davina McCall, Ore Oduba, Paddy McGuinness, Claudia Winkleman and Freddie Flintoff presenting the fun into the early hours.
