Defeat on a Black day for Westgate

NEWCASTLE East Griffins lead the Under-18 Division of the Eagles’ Community Foundation’s Central Venue League with a 3-0 record after a 40-29 win over Westgate Hoopstars Black.
Kenton Force and Cramlington Vikings fought out a tight game, Force emerging victorious 48-37.
Birtley Phoenix received a 20-0 forfeit win courtesy of Tyne Met Tigers.
Two teams remain unbeaten with 3-0 records in the Under-16 Division’s Black Pool.
North Shields Thunder comprehensively defeated Birtley Phoenix 45-15.
Westgate Hoopstars Black were made to fight harder by Walbottle Wizards but eventually came through 29-23.
Kenton Force are still unbeaten in the White Pool and went to a 4-0 record courtesy of a 20-0 forfeit by Cramlington Vikings.
South Tyneside held off Newcastle East Griffins 18-3 while Westgate Hoopstars White collected a solid 32-21 victory over Ryton Rockets.
The unbeaten records of Newcastle East Griffins and Westgate Hoopstars are still intact in the Under-14 Division’s Black Pool.
Both moved to three victories each.
Griffins saw off Gosforth Goliath Boys 34-14 while Hoopstars were very impressive in recording a 42-2 result against Morpeth Magic.
The closest game came as Ryton Rockets fell to a 23-18 defeat to South Tyneside Blue.
White Pool leaders North Shields moved to 3-1 after overcoming South Tyneside Yellow 24-11.
Birtley Phoenix remain unbeaten on 3-0 after downing Cardinal Hornets 24-10.
Gosforth Goliath Girls enjoyed an excellent 19-13 success over Kingsmeadow Royals.
Newcastle East Griffins are now 4-0 and lead the way in the Under-12 Division’s Black Pool.
The only result recorded was a 16-15 verdict for Tyne Met Tigers over Birtley Phoenix.
Kenton Force are proving invincible so far in the White Pool.
They moved to 4-0 with a comfortable 26-6 victory over Gosforth Goliaths.
The other game was a lot closer as the spoils went to Kingsmeadow Royals 21-17 against Ryton Rockets.
