LABOUR LEADER JEREMY CORBYN HAS BEEN CRITICISED FOR REFUSING TO ACCEPT THE PRIME MINISTER’S JUDGMENT THAT THE RUSSIAN STATE WAS BEHIND THE ATTACK. HE SAYS THAT SECURITY AGENCIES NEED TIME TO ‘CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITIES’ ABOUT THE NERVE AGENT ATTACK RATHER THAN MAKING IMMEDIATE ACCUSATIONS.

Alex Perry: “Let’s face it, the guy has been in the right side of history so far... whether you like him or not, he has a proven track record of being right.”

Jimmy Smith: “Corbyn is merely working within the principles of the scales of justice; Innocent until proven Guilty. Probably and almost certain won’t cut it with everyone and yes it is right to raise the issue of Iraq and remind people of how wrong we were then.”

Eddie Bennett: “Can you give me an example of where Mrs May’s judgement was right? I’m struggling here.”

Dave Moulds: “Just as well Corbyn’s not PM now. Russia would have seen his weakness and have their fleet sailing up the Thames by now...”

Michael McLaren: “May has not had the usual courtesy to share all the intelligence information with leaders of other parties but expects them to fall in line with her parliamentary statements. No wonder he is sceptical.”

Keith Humphreys: “Any evidence that points to Putin is purely circumstantial. I’m with Corbyn on this one. There is without doubt a link to Russia, but do we really think Putin would be so stupid as to sanction this? When the old KGB splintered during the collapse of the USSR, it goes without saying that a lot of people with a lot of knowledge will have joined new groups and forces and taken their knowledge with them. My opinion is that Putin didn’t sanction this but he knows who did.”

Newts Newton: “May refused to give him all the intel on the attack too. How on earth are you supposed to make an informed decision, when you have been deliberately deprived of all the available facts?”

Andrew Wall: “He’s anti war and isn’t going to change. This Tory government is a shambles but Russia has been picking a fight with the West and especially the UK for years. Someone has to make a stand. I’m almost 50 and this is the worst government in my lifetime, but we can’t keep ignoring the Russian aggression.”

Lee Foster-Lyons: “I think people are forgetting what culpable means, as an adjective it is defined as ‘deserving of blame’. Russia is culpable, either by sanctioning the killing, OR, by losing control of stock of nerve agent. Corbyn’s failure to agree with the outcome will worry a lot of people.” Ross Collins: “His entire speech in Newcastle yesterday was bang on. ”
