Debutants set to make their Benfield bow

THE Northern League’s Division One weekend gets underway tonight when North Shields entertain Newcastle Benfield.

The visitors will have new signings Sol Bell and John Pendlebury in their squad for the first time.

There is also on Division Two fixture tonight as promotionc­hasing Whickham host Tow Law Town.

Tomorrow, Division One leaders Morpeth Town face a tough test of their title credential­s when they travel to sixth-placed Shildon.

Highwaymen duo Stephen Forster and Keith Graydon are suspended for the trip to Dean Street.
