Why drive us into licence chaos?

-

NORTHUMBRIA Blood Bikes would like to thank everybody that collected Wish Tokens during the appeal.

We are lucky enough to be receiving £562.99 which will go towards keeping our fleet on the road. The money equates to approximately 225 jobs carried out by our volunteers completely free of charge for the NHS.

We are extremely grateful for the support by readers and to The Chronicle for this opportunity.

KIRSTY LAWRENCE, Northumbria Blood Bikes A FEEDBACK letter forecast chaos as we leave the EU which has threatened not to recognise British Driving licences.

Before we joined the EU and even now if one wishes to drive in countries outside the EU it is normal to obtain an International Driving Permit which is recognised anywhere.

The permit is easy to obtain I’VE written of the good times and the sad And of the times when I was a lad Many times when I heard the news With you I shared my views But when it came to writing words that rhyme Sometimes I thought I’d come to the end of the line Then suddenly without any explanation I would get periods of inspiration Sometimes at a blank page I would stare In frustration I’d feel like tearing out my hair Though I wouldn’t have much in my hand I’m sure there will be many who understand But it’s all been worthwhile For some have been serious and others I hope have made you smile For when I started little did I know How far my love for poetry would grow For this one now is special to me The reason being, this is number five hundred yes seriously So with such a number I have written I guess with such a number you could say I‘m smitten I think now how much longer I can carry on Well we will just wait and see Perhaps just as long as I get pleasure writing poetry.
