Semi win lovely for the Jubilee!

HALTWHISTL­E Jubilee will represent the league in the Northumber­land FA Minor Cup final.

Their tremendous run in the competitio­n continued with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Newcastle University A in the semi-finals.

Paul Wilson headed home in the first half but a Uni equaliser took the match into extra time.

It was decided four minutes from the end by a screamer from Kieran Robley.

Jesmond completed the line-up for the Neville Cowey Cup decider with a 4-0 triumph over Gosforth Bohemian Reserves.

Louis Tiplady bagged a brace with Alex Cole and Toby Walton also on target for Jesmond, who will meet Stobswood Welfare in the final. Ellington are the first team into the Tyneside Amateur Challenge Shield decider after a 6-1 verdict against West Jesmond.

Adam Bains and Jordan Lashley both notched twice for Ellington, Liam Thompson and Martin Humble completing their tally. Ed Shanks replied for West Jesmond.

Wideopen and District A made it two wins in a row after seeing off Killingwor­th YPC Cobras 5-3.

Ross Dickinson and Phil Cook both netted twice for Wideopen, Leeroy Odd also on target.

Ponteland United Reserves claimed a 6-3 success at Newbiggin Hall Vettic.

Gary Oliver celebrated a hat-trick for Pont, Steven Knox (2) and Jason Nicholson joining him on the scoresheet.

Jamie Smith, Jak Cheetham and Josh Nevin countered for the Vettics.

Second-placed Forest Hall YPC secured a comfortabl­e 6-0 result against Newcastle Medicals.

Anth Broughton struck three times, Micky Tams twice and Keiran Crawford rounded off the scoring.

Morpeth Town Seniors prevailed 5-1 at Newcastle Chemfica Amateurs despite a Sam Clark strike Liam Parkin, Jack Freeman, Michael Bray, Nick O’Neil and Kyle Shaw the marksmen for Morpeth.
