DURHAM CCC will be running a two-day junior coaching camp and a girls-only camp during the second week of the Easter halfterm school holiday .

The cricket camps offer an opportunit­y for young aspiring cricketers to be trained by the Emirates Riverside’s team of qualified coaches.

The two-day camp will take place on April 10 and 11 at the Hermitage Academy in Chesterle-Street but bookings for individual days are also available.

The girls-only camp will run on April 12 at the same venue and is suitable for girls between the ages of eight and 13.

To enrol on either camp go to the Durham CCC website. ■■RUGBY clubs across the region are urged to enter the Crabbie’s 2018 National Rugby Awards, which recognise clubs at all levels and their members for their contributi­on to the game.

Award categories include Rugby Club of the Year, Men’s and Women’s Teams and Players of the Year, Coach of the Year and Rugby Club Volunteer of the Year.

The awards will be held at the Rose Room at Twickenham on Wednesday, August 29.

Parklife is a £200m five-year commitment to building multipitch hubs with artificial grass pitches across towns and cities in England with the aim of improving playing standards.
