Seniors hit the goal trail to record back-to-back victories

MORPETH Town Seniors had a week to remember with two impressive victories.
Goals from Will Pritchard, Michael Bray and Michael Carr earned them a 3-0 win over Haltwhistle Jubilee, and all three were on target again as they saw off Killingworth YPC 5-1 on Saturday, with Chris Martin and Simon Farrier completing their tally. Kyle Stocks registered the sole counter for Killingworth.
Ellington won their 11th consecutive league game as they returned from Haltwhistle with a 6-2 verdict. Mark Robson and Denis Thirtle were on target for Jubes, but strikes from Brent Aisbitt, Jordan Lashley, Liam Thompson, David Brown, Trevor Newman and Adam Bains ensured all three points for the visitors.
Jesmond FC moved up to second place in the table with a 9-0 win at Gosforth Bohemian Reserves. Adam Duckworth scored four times, Louis Tiplady bagged a brace, and Stewart Wright, Toby Walton and Scott Maddison rounded off the scoring.
Newcastle Chemfica Amateurs gave a clinical first-half performance against Newcastle Medicals, going 5-0 up before the break and then adding a sixth in the second half.
Sean Obuseng scored four times and Martin Edmond added a pair, although Medicals keeper Ben Greig distinguished himself with a penalty save.
West Jesmond celebrated a 6-2 success against Medics, with Ed Shanks, Ali Semmence, Liam Day, Liam Mulligan, Marc Cowley and Joe Cherry all on target. Matthew Robinson and Dave Macmillan replied for the Medics.
